HONOR YOUR PET AND HELP ANIMALS AROUND THE WORLD

Almost everyone has had a beloved pet with whom they shared a special bond. Because pets give us so much, we are often at a loss as to how to appropriately honor them. The Pet Fund at IFAW is the perfect way to create a permanent and meaningful tribute to your beloved pet, while at the same time helping less fortunate animals around the world.

Named for your dog or cat – or other pet – your Pet Fund will become part of an endowment that exists in perpetuity. Only the income from the endowment is spent, and it goes directly to support IFAW’s dynamic and unique companion animals program which saves dogs and cats in impoverished communities around the world.

HELPING PETS IN NEED

All over the globe, dogs and cats living in destitute communities suffer the effects of poverty just as their owners do. Despite their devotion to their pets, many owners lack the resources required to provide adequate food, shelter and medical care to their animal companions. Because animal hospitals are typically located in cities and affluent suburbs, more often than not access to veterinary care is virtually impossible for pet owners living in remote and/or indigent communities.

Your IFAW Pet Fund will bring much-needed veterinary support – and compassion – to countless suffering dogs and cats, and their owners, around the world.

We provide pet food, vaccines, dipping, deworming, spay and neuter services, and emergency care to the pets in the underprivileged communities we serve. We give hope to otherwise hopeless communities, because improving the health of their companion animals benefits the entire community.

Your IFAW Pet Fund will help disadvantaged pets around the world enjoy a healthy, happy life with individual pet owners who cherish their companionship.

Currently, IFAW actively supports companion animal projects in Johannesburg and Khayelitsha in South Africa, Russia, Asia Pacific, China, Mexico, on the Navajo Nation in the United States, and on the James Bay Cree First Nation in Canada.

Your Pet Fund will help IFAW to bring our companion animals program to even more needy pets, in more needy communities worldwide. This is a truly meaningful way to honor your beloved pet!

HOW IT WORKS

• Your Pet Fund can be established at any time with a tax-deductible gift of $5,000 or more.
• Establishing a Pet Fund will qualify you for an annual membership in IFAW’s Leadership Giving Circle, where you will enjoy the special privileges shared by IFAW’s elite supporters.
• You will receive a special personalized plaque from IFAW honoring your pet.
• Funds will be ethically invested by IFAW, and the interest generated by the principal will support our companion animal projects around the world.
• You may add funds of any amount at any time, such as honoring your pet’s birthday or for other special events.
• You will receive a personalized annual newsletter detailing IFAW’s companion animal projects.
• You and your named Pet Fund will be listed in IFAW’s annual report.
